“The environment should act as an aquarium which reflects the ideas, ethics, attitudes and culture of the people who live in it. This is what we are working towards.”

OPENING NOVEMBER 2025 ENROLL NOW
Nestled in Yarralumla’s lush greenery, St Nicks Botanica invites children to explore the natural world.
Here, the outdoor environment guides learning—through sensory encounters, open‑ended play and connection to Country—fostering confidence, resilience and wonder. Our Reggio‑inspired approach ensures that play, wonder and respect for the environment flourish together.

St Nick’s Botanica will accommodate 90 children, aged from six months to five years, across six thoughtfully designed play spaces and two natural outdoor learning environments.
Children will have opportunities to explore and learn beyond the centre walls, engaging regularly with the rich community and natural surroundings of Yarralumla.
Embraced by Yarralumla’s garden setting, children connect to nature through planting projects, sensory mud‑kitchen sessions and outdoor explorations.
Our program is enriched with Ready Steady Go Kids sports classes to develop physical skills and teamwork, Wiradjuri Echoes to foster cultural understanding and connection to Country, and gardening lessons led by a specialist educator to inspire care for the environment. These diverse experiences — all within a Reggio Emilia framework — ensure children engage with their world through curiosity, creativity, and respect.
St Nicks Botanica marks the new beginning of an exciting chapter for our St Nicks community.
We will start with a gentle and intentional approach, focusing on building deep, respectful connections with each child, family, and educator who joins us. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we aim to create a learning environment rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and creativity, with strong ties to family, community, and Country.
